If more students who meet the above admission requirements apply for admission than there are positions available, students who have completed all co-requisite coursework will be considered first.

Strengthens the competencies of nursing practice, including human flourishing, nursing judgment, professional identity, and spirit of inquiry, and Quality and Safety Education for Nurses QSEN. Emphasizes the concepts of nutrition, metabolism, endocrine, elimination, and integumentary. Lecture: 4 credits 60 contact hours. Clinical: 3 credits contact hours.
Assists the Practical Nurse to make the beginning transition to the RN role. Strengthens the four competencies of nursing practice including human flourishing, nursing judgment, professional identity, and spirit of inquiry and Quality and Safety Education for Nurses QSEN. Sixteen credit hours in nursing will be awarded upon successful completion of the course.

Focuses on the beginning transition to the RN role, the acquisition of essential skills and the development of critical thinking, emphasizing the concepts of nutrition, metabolism, endocrine, elimination, and integumentary. Lecture: 1. Includes the application of the core components of nursing to patients experiencing alterations in health.
Builds upon the Level 10 Military Medic experiences in application of core components of nursing. Focuses on the continued development of critical thinking, emphasizing the concepts of nutrition, metabolism, endocrine, elimination, and integumentary systems.
Strengthens the four competencies of nursing practice including human flourishing, nursing judgement, professional identity, and spirit of inquiry, and Quality and Safety Education for Nurses QSEN. Upon successful completion of all components of the course the student will be admitted to NSG and will have earned two 2 credit hours of advanced standing for a total of seven 7 credits.
Lecture: 4 credits 60 contact hours Laboratory: 1 credit 45 contact hours. Focuses on the application of the core components of nursing practice to the care of childbearing families. They will be awarded up 2 credit hours for completion. No more than two attempts may be submitted per rolling year. The high quality of theoretical and clinical education ensures the Practical Nursing student opportunities to develop as a nurse and as an individual while practicing in various settings and ensures the student possesses the ability to meet and exceed employer expectations in the job market.
National Certification testing fee is not included in the cost of tuition. Criminal background check fee must be paid with application fee. A multi-state licensure option is available if state of residence is VA at time of license application.
