Issue: When launching AutoCAD, the software freezes, hangs, or crashes, usually before the main program interface appears. Outdated graphics card driver. Too many temporary files. System requirements not met.

A Desktop not up to date. Malfunctioning Autodesk Desktop App. Corrupted AutoCAD profile. And finally, do some standard PC maintenance like defragging, delete temp files, scan for adware and malware, etc.

Message 4 of 6. When I login using other user names also same problem occurs. I reinstalled AutoCAD to find no result. I deleted old profiles and created new one. Still no use. Any other suggestions? I have problem with internet explorer also. It takes unusual time to load. Sunilkumar Message was edited by: Sunilkumar. Message 5 of 6. Start from the network switch and move back towards your computer from there.

First try switching your network cable to a new port. Then disable the network card in your computer and add a separate one. Message 6 of 6. If disconnected everything is running fast, something in Windows is still attempting to connect to the old network. Parts of the Start Tab may be usable, such as switching to the Learning screen and back. AutoCAD may never recover from the freeze or it may become usable after several minutes. The hang may end once the Recent list of files is populated.

Custom network paths have been added to AutoCAD that are not accessible or do not have read-write access. Recent drawing files were opened from mapped network locations which are no longer accessible. Firewall or a network proxy is inhibiting online access that AutoCAD is looking for. For issues with files from remote locations, set the list of Recently Used Files down to 0.

Update the graphics driver on the system see How to update to the latest certified video driver.
