There is a big difference of opinion about what to do about this latest wave of the pandemic, including at school. The government of Saskatchewan is expanding the eligibility for boosters in our province. That is one of the requests health experts had made -- in light of the Omicron variant which is spreading quickly elsewhere.
The education minister says this vaccine is new, so it's treating it differently than other school vaccine programs. It was a big week for younger children in our province. Those aged five to 11 are finally eligible to get vaccinated. Saskatchewan's premier has said that life will get increasingly "uncomfortable" for those who are not vaccinated against covid and there are now policies in place at many venues to prove vaccination before you enter — from concerts to the liquor store.
